¡Celebración del Día de los Muertos en el Cementerio Mount Olivet!
¡Acompáñenos para el Día de los Muertos en el Cementerio Católico Mt. Olivet!

¡Trae una copia de una foto de tu ser querido para colocar en la ofrenda de Mt. Olivet! ¡TODOS están bienvenidos a celebrar con nosotros! ¡Invitamos de manera especial a los grupos para participar en un concurso de elaboración de ofrendas y tapetes y a los individuos a participar en un concurso de catrines y catrinas!
DETALLES
- Los grupos elaboran sus ofrendas y/o tapetes entre las 8:00am y las 12:00pm.
- Cada grupo lleva sus propios materiales.
- Los grupos tendrán que quitar sus ofrendas y/o tapetes el mismo día (4:00-5:00pm).
- Los participantes menores de 18 años que no vienen con sus padres y/o tutor requieren una autorización de participación para menores firmada por sus padres y/o tutor.
- Favor de inscribirse para hacer ofrendas y tapetes para que podamos prepararnos para los grupos.
- Se evaluarán las ofrendas y tapetes según los siguientes criterios:
- ¡Se incluyen los elementos necesarios! Revisen el documento de reglas para detalles.
- Creatividad
- Apariencia general
- Originalidad
Los individuos interesados en participar en el concurso de catrines deben llevar ropa apropiada. Habrá personas aquí para pintar la cara. Hay un concurso para niños de 0-12 años y otro para individuos de 12+ años.

Please join us for the “Day of the Dead” celebration at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery on Sunday, November 2nd, 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
This bilingual event will take place in St. Anthony Mausoleum at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Mass will start at 12:00pm followed by food, activities, and entertainment. EVERYONE is welcome to join the celebration; however, we have a special invitation for groups to participate in an ofrenda and tapete competition! Individuals can also participate in a catrín/catrina competition!
SCHEDULE
8:00am - 12:00pm Prepare ofrendas and tapetes
12:00pm - 1:00pm Mass
1:00pm - 1:15pm Explanation of Day of the Dead from a Catholic perspective
1:15pm - 3:00pm Food and entertainment
3:00pm - 4:00pm Award prizes
4:00pm - 5:00pm Music & clean up
Bring a copy of a picture of a loved one who has passed away to put on Mt. Olivet’s ofrenda!
DETAILS
- Groups can create their entries for ofrendas and tapetes between 8:00am and 12:00pm.
- Please bring your own materials.
- Groups will need to remove their ofrendas and/or tapetes the same day (4:00-5:00pm).
- Youth under 18 who are not accompanied by a parent/guardian must fill out an activity release for minors.
- Please sign up to create an ofrenda or tapete so we can prepare for you!
- Ofrendas and tapetes will be judged using the following criteria:
- Necessary elements are included! Please see guidelines document for details!
- Creativity
- Overall appearance
- Originality
Individuals interested in the catrín/catrina competition should bring appropriate clothes. People will be here to help paint faces. Competitions for children 0-12 and individuals 12+ years old.
