Beloved mother and Christ’s faithful servant, Caroline A Lesica, O.C.D.S died in her home on November 5, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. Carol was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Frank Lesica and Helen Fayak. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Wernsing, brother Martin (Sue) Lesica, and nieces Michele and Andrea Lesica. Carol received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St Xavier (College) University of Chicago, Illinois in 1967. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado.
Carol was an empathetic soul, driven by her faith to serve the Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. She loved gardening, the Denver Botanic Gardens, cooking, and spending time with her daughter. She is proud to have visited Italy with her daughter, as well as New Zealand as a single woman in her 40’s. Carol will be remembered as one guided by faith, love, and generosity. She was fiercely independent and a beacon of strength. She reminds us that God is miraculous.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Carol’s name to the Denver Botanic Gardens.
