Esther H. Pastore, 98, of Brighton, Colorado passed away September 22nd, 2019. She was born Esther H. Scott on July 24th, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland. Esther came to the United States in 1955 and when she arrived, she traveled straight to Denver, Colorado. She met her husband, Frank E. Pastore, and they later got married on September 7, 1957. They had two children, Ann and Janet. They lived in Denver, Colorado before moving to Wheat Ridge in 1980 where she continued to live for many years before moving up to Brighton, Colorado.
Esther was loved by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandma, and great grandma. She was incredibly loving, extremely generous, resilient, strong willed, brave and had an impeccable memory. She loved traveling with her husband, cooking, planting roses and peonies, and shopping for purses and shoes. Everyone who knew Esther knows how much she enjoyed talking to everyone, especially her grandchildren and she loved playing mousy with her great grandchildren. She liked going to the beauty shop to get her hair done. She had a sweet tooth; a few of her favorites were bear claws, apple turnovers, pie, macaroons, marzipan, and short bread. And, of course, she shared with everyone who crossed her path.
Esther was survived by her two daughters, Ann (Joseph) Archuleta, Janet (Daniel) Ross; and her grandchildren: Francisco (Nicole) Archuleta, Joseph (Kristin) Archuleta, Kelsey Archuleta, Diane (Robert) Page, Valerie Ross, and Marie (Nicholas) Echter. She is also survived by great grandchildren: Kaleigh Archuleta, Elise Archuleta, Phillip Archuleta, Wyatt Page, Ellee Page, Edward Archuleta, and Ronald Archuleta. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Pastore, and grandsons Tomas Archuleta, and Ephraim E. Archuleta.
