Mary Barbara Sanchez, 75, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on October 29, 2019 in Arvada.

She was born on June 16, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to parents that were not able to care for her. She was raised by the order of Catholic Sisters of Mother Cabrini who ran the Queen of Heaven Orphanage in Denver. She was adopted at the age of eleven by Grant and Catherine West of Denver Colorado & La Jolla California. Mary Barbara attended South High School and graduated in 1961. She went on to study engineering and would begin working at Mountain Bell of Colorado at the age of 17. She worked for Mountain Bell/Quest for over 30 years.

Mary Barbara was a devout Catholic and found great comfort in her faith. She loved her family, friends, travel, her dogs, viewing golf, and her beloved Denver Broncos. She served many years as president of the Broncos’ Booster Club. Mary Barbara never missed attending a home game, championship game or Superbowl with Joanna Eloise and was known by many as ‘Bronco Mary.’

Mary Barbara is survived by her son, Joe Sanchez and his wife Celeste of Arvada, Daughter, Jamie-Marie Catherine of Denver, Granddaughter, Priscilla Barbara Sanchez and partner AJ of Denver, Grandson, Joshua Sanchez of Denver, Granddaughter, Jo-Marie and partner Jacob of Arvada, Grandson, Dante Sanchez of Arvada, and her Great Grandchildren; Isaiah, Mario, Ilaria, Jenesis, Dionicio, Elyannah, Benny, Elias and Erza. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Sanchez and husband Thomas Cordova.

Funeral service will be held at The Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary Chapel @ Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue Wheatridge, CO.80033 on November 11, 2019.
