General Monument Guidelines

The General Monument Guidelines detailed below apply to all sections of Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery and Saint Simeon Catholic Cemetery.
Any exceptions to the General Monument Guidelines will be detailed in the General Monument Guideline Exceptions section.
- All monuments must be approved by Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services (CFCS) of Colorado. This includes third party monuments.
- All monuments must have a foundation that is installed by CFCS of Colorado.
- Foundations will be poured by CFCS of Colorado only. Charges apply.
- A setting fee may apply.
- Any monument that has not been approved by CFCS of Colorado and/or does not conform to monument guidelines will be removed and stored.
- Minimum marker dimension allowed is 16"x8"x2"
- Maximum dimension of the base for a single grave is 36"x16" and for two graves is 72"x16".
- The width of the die should be at least 6".
- Flat markers should be at least 3" thick.
- No monument, including base, taller than 5 feet is permitted.
- No hollow monuments are allowed.
- All monuments must be Granite or Bronze. No other material is allowed.
- Markers will be provided and designed by CFCS of Colorado for all social service and communal burials.

Section 36, Block 1, Lot 22
- Cremation Area
o No outside monument purchases allowed. Only CFCS of Colorado monuments are permitted.
o Contact your Family Service Advisor for monument size and color requirements.
- Graves #1-188
o Slant only. 24”x10”x16” P2 no nose.
o Must be on a 30”x12”x6” base of same color. Vase optional
- Graves #189-297
o Flat only. 24”x12”x3”
- Bench Graves #1-6
o Cremation Bench only. 36”x14”x4” seat
- Allowed Colors in Block 1, Lot 22
o Grey, Blue Pearl, Mahogany, Serenity Red, Ebony
- Stations of the Cross Cremation Garden
o CFCS of Colorado to supply and design all monuments.
o Contact an Family Service Advisor for a map pertaining to monument type and color.
- Blocks 1 and 2
o Flat only in multiple lots of Block 1 and 2. Contact an Family Service Advisor for a map pertaining to monument type.
- Entire Section
o Restricted to CFCS of Colroado supply and design.
- Cremation Area
o 16” max height and 36” width max Slant, Pillow, Flat; no color restriction; no base or vase
o Designate as No Decoration Area (except plastic flower vase)
- Our Lady of La Vang Cremation Niches
o No vases. Possible plastic vases depending on size
- Our Lady of Guadalupe Cremation Niches
o No vases. Possible plastic vases depending on size
- Blocks 1-7
o Flat only with exception of Block 5 Lots 3-18 and Block 6 Lots 3-18 which can contain Uprights.
o Block 1 lots 3-8; max size 20”x10”x4”
- Entire Section
o Base size requirements 30”x12” for a single grave and 60”x12” for double grave (centered). 6”min for height of base.
o The only Flat size allowed is 30”x18”.
o The only Slant size allowed is 30”x10”x16". No base is allowed.
o Please contact a Family Service Advisor or the Monument Shop for a map or questions regarding size requirements per block.
- Cremation Area
o 16” max height and 36” width max Slant, Pillow, Flat; no color restriction; no base or vase
o Designate as No Decoration Area (except plastic flower vase) No in-ground vases, possible plastic vases only
- Cremation Niches
o No vases
- Cremation Niches
o 1 vase (centered bottom), no photo, no emblem
- Couch Crypts
o 2 vases, 2 photos, 2 emblems
